Rich Bryan was an on-air personality and programmer at KILO in Colorado Springs during the 1990s.
Colorado radio career
Billboard’s Rock Airplay Monitor reported in June 1996 that Bryan left a programming position with Westwood One’s rock format to become KILO’s assistant program director and midday host. The report said he assumed most of the responsibilities of departing personality Chopper Harrison, while music-director duties were divided between Bryan and program director Rich Hawk.
A June 28, 1996 Radio & Records station report subsequently listed Bryan as KILO’s assistant program director and music director. These contemporary trade records establish both his on-air role and his place in the station’s music-programming operation.
Later career
In July 1997, Radio & Records announced that Bryan had joined Jones Radio Network as operations manager of its newly launched Rock Classics format. In addition to managing the service, he hosted its 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Eastern airshift. The announcement also summarized his earlier work as KILO assistant program director, WSHE/Orlando music director and programmer of Westwood One’s Adult Rock & Roll format.
