Kooch McKay was the overnight personality at KKMG Magic-FM 98.9 during the station’s 1988 relaunch. The October 14 issue of The Gavin Report lists McKay from midnight to 6 a.m., completing the station’s round-the-clock schedule.
The article records the schedule as KKMG introduced a hybrid Urban, Europop, and Top 40 format for the Pueblo–Colorado Springs market. It documents McKay’s overnight shift in 1988, not the length of his appointment or later work.
