KGDP was an early Pueblo radio station operated by the Pueblo Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It belonged to the experimental, low-power era of local broadcasting before commercial stations became firmly established in the city.
Boy Scout operation
A 1927–28 station listing identified KGDP at 1340 kHz with only 10 watts. A contemporary Radio Digest schedule listed regular Tuesday and Thursday evening programs, showing that the station maintained an organized broadcast schedule despite its very low power.

Under the Federal Radio Commission’s nationwide reallocation effective November 11, 1928, KGDP moved from 1340 to 1210 kHz. Period lists continued to identify the Pueblo Council of the Boy Scouts of America as licensee.
