KPPF-AM

KPPF is the current call sign of the 1040 AM facility licensed to Monument, Colorado and serving the Colorado Springs metropolitan area.

The FCC call sign became effective Dec. 16, 2020, following the station’s long KCBR era. Power 95.7 LLC had acquired the station and translator K239CH in late 2020.

In February 2021, Power Media Group announced plans to evolve the former Blazin’ operation toward a hybrid adult-contemporary and talk format, with an eventual emphasis on local news and talk. The company hired veteran broadcaster Ted Robertson to lead programming and Al Vasquez (Alan White) as Production Manager. By the end of 2021, KPPF had shifted to full-time news/talk under the Power Talk 1040 branding.

The station is also heard on FM translators 95.7 K239CH and 98.5 K253AH.
