Bruce Erickson was a Colorado Springs radio sales executive associated with KKCS-FM 101.9 during the station’s traditional-country era in the early 1990s.
The Broadcasting & Cable Yearbook for 1993 identifies Erickson specifically as General Sales Manager of KKCS-FM. At the time, the 101.9 FM facility operated alongside KKCS 1460 AM under Walton Stations of Colorado and duplicated the AM station’s programming. The same directory separately lists Jerry Grant as General Sales Manager on the KKCS-AM entry, preserving an important distinction in the management structure of the paired stations.
KKCS-FM operated with 79 kW from a high-elevation Colorado Springs transmission site and carried a traditional-country format. Erickson’s sales-management role placed him on the business side of a locally focused station operation whose programming, promotions and advertising relationships were closely tied to the Southern Colorado community.
