KCFP 91.9 FM is Pueblo’s full-power outlet for Colorado Public Radio’s classical service.
The station operates as part of CPR’s statewide classical network and carries the same classical programming heard on KVOD in the Denver area. Its Pueblo signal provides dedicated classical-music service to the city and surrounding region.
Paired / network relationship: KCFP is part of the Colorado Public Radio system and is functionally paired with CPR’s other classical outlets around the state.
Before it carried the KCFP call letters, Pueblo’s 91.9 frequency was known as KERP-FM. A 1997 report in Westword says Colorado Public Radio had purchased KERP and that the Pueblo outlet was then known as KCFP; the article also records the contemporaneous debate about how CPR’s expansion affected Colorado Springs’ KRCC, whose signal had already reached Pueblo. The station is now part of CPR Classical’s statewide service.
