Tom Collins is documented as a KIKX/Colorado Springs air personality in contemporary trade coverage and in an aircheck preserved by the Colorado Radio Archive. Radio & Records reported on September 27, 1985, that Collins had returned to KIKX for middays.
The archive holds a 5-minute, 16-second KIKX aircheck contributed under Collins’s name. Its record contains conflicting dating: the exact-date field lists August 1, 1984, while the title and description identify it with 1985. The date discrepancy remains unresolved.

KIIQ Sept 15 1984 (day before call switch to KIKX)
Final day aircheck of KIIQ before call switch to KIKX. Of note, my last break, I didn't say the call letters. Many voices are included in this but not complete. Red Noise is of note on several tags thoughout and still doing morning drive.
