Danny Davis is a veteran American radio personality whose career included one of the most visible assignments of KIMN’s classic Top 40 era. In 1968, KIMN recruited Davis to Denver as a headline personality for its morning show. That same year, Billboard named KIMN Station of the Year, placing Davis at the center of a station then operating at the height of its national reputation.
Davis became one of the personalities associated with KIMN’s late-1960s dominance and with the promotional culture that surrounded the station. His Denver work included community appearances and a KIMN traveling basketball team that played schools around the region as a fundraiser. After his initial KIMN run, Davis worked at KHOW and other stations before returning to KIMN in the mid-1970s.
His career eventually carried him well beyond Colorado, with major stops including Honolulu, Portland and Phoenix. Even after decades in other markets, Davis continued to identify Denver as an important part of his professional life and returned frequently to the history of KIMN in interviews and reunions.
Where Are They Now?
As of October 2026: Davis is based in Phoenix and remains connected to media and community work. A 2025 long-form interview described him as a Hall of Fame Denver radio veteran living in Phoenix, while his professional profile documents longstanding service with the Cameo Foundation of Arizona.
