Super Shannon was an air name used by radio personality Stephen Alexander Reid, remembered as one of KDZA’s signature voices during the station’s “Rock of Pueblo” era.
Reid is identified as Super Shannon in retrospective radio histories and is remembered by Pueblo’s Vintage KDZA archive. A separate KGAL station-history account identifies Sam Lee as using the same air name while serving as program director there in late 1972. The available sources do not establish whether these references describe different people using the same name or a mistaken attribution, so Reid’s reported KGAL tenure remains uncertain.
Reid later worked in Buffalo radio at WGRQ and WKBW and eventually moved into television. He died in 2014.
