KHHT was the call sign used by Denver’s 107.5 FM facility from August 1996 to January 1997, when it was branded “K-Hits 107.5.” This is a short-lived historical identity of the station now known as KQKS, not a separate current service.
History
The 107.5 MHz signal previously used the KWMX-FM call sign and a “Mix 107.5” format. It adopted KHHT on August 30, 1996, with a mainstream Top 40 presentation as “K-Hits 107.5.” On January 8, 1997, following Jefferson-Pilot’s acquisition of KQKS, the company moved KQKS’s rhythmic format and call letters from 104.3 FM to 107.5 FM, replacing KHHT. The station subsequently became known as KS107.5.
