KFMF-FM

KFMF-FM, a 93.3 MHz station licensed to Fort Collins, Colorado, and an earlier identity in the lineage now represented by KTCL.

History: Contemporary broadcast directories record KFMF beginning in September 1965 on 93.3 MHz, with 25,000 watts. The 1969 directory lists it among Fort Collins stations. Through subsequent call-letter changes, the same FM facility became KIIX-FM and then KTCL. The KFMF name therefore marks the station’s formative years as a northern Colorado FM broadcaster, before KTCL became associated with the wider Denver market.

Record note: This entry follows the KFMF call sign and its place in the 93.3 FM facility’s succession. The cited directory provides the early frequency, city, power, and date; the FCC call-sign history documents later identity changes.
