KDUR (91.9 FM) is Fort Lewis College’s student and community radio station in Durango, Colorado. The station’s free-form schedule includes music, locally produced programs, news and public-affairs content. It also provides a second over-the-air signal at 93.9 FM in the Durango area.
History
KDUR grew from a Fort Lewis College radio-club effort. The station initially operated at low power on campus; historical accounts describe its original service as a 10-watt student station. In 1976 it increased to 150 watts, extending reception beyond the campus. The station marked its fiftieth anniversary in 2024. On May 11, 2010, the FCC licensed a power increase for the 91.9 MHz facility to 6,000 watts.
