KOOO-FM

KOOO was the call sign used on the 95.5 MHz FM facility licensed to Rocky Ford, Colorado, from 1999 to 2002. It served Pueblo and southern Colorado. KOOO followed KAVI-FM and preceded KJQY; the facility later became KPHT.

History

The 95.5 FM facility had used the KAVI-FM call letters before adopting KOOO in 1999. In 2002 it changed to KJQY, and later to KPHT. The station’s licensed community and service area connected the lower Arkansas Valley with the Pueblo market. This record concerns the KOOO period only; later formats and ownership belong to subsequent station-era records.
