Garner Goin is a Colorado rock-radio programmer, music director and creative executive whose career has included leadership at KRFX-FM (103.5 The Fox) in Denver and 92.9 The Bear in Northern Colorado.
Programming career
Goin was named program director of KRFX in 2000 when Mike O’Connor moved into a broader Denver programming role. Industry directories later listed Goin as both program director and music director of The Fox.
By 2016, Goin was leading 92.9 The Bear in Fort Collins. He recruited longtime Denver rock personality Gregg “Uncle Nasty” Stone to the station, then brought Stone back with him when Goin returned to program 103.5 The Fox. Goin’s later iHeartMedia responsibilities expanded to rock-brand and Northern Colorado programming leadership.
Awards and recognition
Goin’s KRFX work appears repeatedly in the Colorado Broadcasters Association awards. Credits include May the 4th Be With You (2020, station imaging), AXL Rose Is Late! and 27 Club (2021), 103.5 The Mullet (2022) and Summer Smart Speaker (2023).
