KUSN was a Pueblo FM call sign used on the 107.1 MHz facility beginning in 1985. The station became a full-time country outlet branded “US 107” after Sunbrook Broadcasting acquired the former KRMX-FM. It was closely associated with sister station KCSJ-AM 590.
History
Sunbrook Broadcasting, then owner of KCSJ, acquired the station and introduced the KUSN call letters in 1985. “US 107” positioned the station as a country music service for Pueblo and southern Colorado. The facility later used the KNKN identity and eventually KIQN, KLCX and KWRY. The sequence concerns the 107.1 FM operation, distinct from the related AM station KCSJ.

Moments in KUSN-FM History
FCC allots Pueblo FM channel 107.1
Acting on a petition from KAPI Inc., licensee of daytime-only KAPI 690, the FCC considered and approved the addition of FM Channel 296A (107.1 MHz) to Pueblo. Supporting comments were filed by KAPI and no opposition was filed. The allotment created the frequency later used by the KUSN/KCSJ-FM/KGRQ/KNKN lineage.
