KLMR-AM is a heritage Lamar, Colorado radio station broadcasting on 920 AM.
History
KLMR signed on in December 1948, originally operating at 1340 kHz before moving to 920 kHz in 1955. The call letters reflect Lamar, the southeastern Colorado community the station has served for decades.
The station has carried country, news, farm and community programming over its history and has long functioned as an important local information service for Prowers County and the surrounding plains.
Riverside Communications
After a destructive 2022 microburst damaged KLMR facilities and the prior owner shut the stations down, local investors including Kirk Crespin and Dan Cochell formed Riverside Communications to restore the KLMR service. The station returned to local operation in 2023.
