Ed Stabler was a Colorado Springs broadcaster whose documented work crossed early local stations, FM rock and country radio. The 1969 Broadcasting Yearbook lists him as program director of KRYT 1530. By 1973, Starship Radio’s Colorado Springs directory identified him as KPIK’s news director and 7–11 p.m. personality.
The records connect Stabler with KCMS, KRDO, KRYT, KEDI, KKFM and KPIK, spanning several generations of Colorado Springs radio. The available directory listings establish his roles at KRYT and KPIK; they do not supply dates for every station in his career.
Southern Colorado stations: KCMS, KRDO, KRYT, KEDI, KKFM, KPIK.
Documented roles: KRYT Program Director (1969); KPIK News Director and evening personality (1973).
