The Counselor

The Counselor was the on-air name of Kareem Hilton, a Colorado Springs radio host who had a short run on 98.9 Magic FM/KKMG in 2009.

He was part of a morning team with Bobby Adan (“Best Friend Bobby”) and J-Renee. If you were setting your alarm to Magic that year, that’s who was in your ear on the way to work. It didn’t last long, and we’re still looking for dates, ratings or press coverage of the lineup.

2009: Short-lived morning trio on KKMG Magic 98.9

2009 — For a short stretch, mornings on 98.9 Magic FM were a three-person show: The Counselor, Bobby Adan (as "Best Friend Bobby") and J-Renee. It didn't stick around long, and Bobby went on to a much bigger run in Colorado Springs mornings at Peak FM.
