KRFD (100.1 FM) in Fleming was a K-LOVE affiliate serving the Sterling area. If you live out on the northeast Colorado plains, this is a signal that’s been through several call signs and is listed as silent.

History

An application for a construction permit was filed in July 2007, and the FCC granted it on November 4, 2008. The call sign KMAP was assigned December 12, 2008. The community of license changed to Fleming in March 2010, and the station was licensed November 19, 2012.

The call sign became KSIK on November 22, 2012, KCGC on December 31, 2014, and KRFD on February 5, 2015. It was listed as silent as of December 1, 2020. This is a different facility from the Merino 94.5 FM station that now uses KCGC.
