KBJD (1650 AM) in Denver is a Spanish-language Christian teaching station. If you’ve ever scanned the very top of the AM dial in the Denver area, 1650 is the end of the line.
History
On March 17, 1997, the FCC authorized KRKS in Denver to move from 990 to the expanded-band frequency of 1650 kHz, and the new construction permit received the KBJD call letters on August 10, 1998.
In January 2003, Salem changed KBJD from contemporary Christian (The Rock) to conservative talk as KNUS 2. On October 29, 2007, it changed to Spanish-language Christian programming, and on January 6, 2022, it rebranded as Radio La RED.
