KCIC (88.5 FM) in Grand Junction is a religious station owned by Pear Park Baptist Schools. If you grew up on the Western Slope in the 80s, this might be the first Christian station you ever tuned in.
History
The station signed on in March 1979 as the first Christian radio station in Grand Junction. In the early 1980s Pear Park Baptist Church built separate station facilities. Early operations used a converted nursery and an all-volunteer staff.
