KLFV (90.3 FM) in Grand Junction is a contemporary Christian station that carries the K-LOVE network. If you grew up in Grand Junction in the 80s or 90s, you may remember it better as KJOL, a locally run Christian station.
History
The station began broadcasting as KJOL on April 24, 1982, after missing a planned Christmas 1981 launch. It was owned by Columbus Evangelical Free Church. In 1984 it was sold to Western Bible College (later Colorado Christian University), with the sale closing in 1985.
In October 2000, Educational Media Foundation bought the university’s regional radio network, local operations were shut down, and the station began rebroadcasting K-LOVE as KLFV.
This FM station is separate from the KJOL-AM page.
