History

The FCC granted the construction permit to WAY-FM Media Group on June 7, 2002, and the license on June 7, 2005. The station later passed through Educational Media Foundation and Cedar Cove Broadcasting, and was exchanged to Public Broadcasting of Colorado on July 24, 2015, becoming KVXQ with CPR’s AAA format.

The classical format moved to the station on November 27, 2018, and it became KVXO on November 30, 2018.
