KAPP was the original call sign documented on Pueblo’s 690 AM facility in late-1950s Broadcasting Yearbooks. The station was authorized for 250 watts daytime from 2829 Lowell and carried locally programmed material, including Spanish-language specialty programming.
By the early 1960s the station had become KAPI, beginning the better-documented KAPI → KRMX → KSIP → KWRP lineage.
