William “Bill” Beck was a longtime Southern Colorado broadcaster and radio manager whose career included both KDZA and KKAM in Pueblo.
Contemporary station directories place Beck at KDZA by 1964 as station manager and commercial manager under Dee B. Crouch. By 1966, the Broadcasting Yearbook listed him as station manager and sales manager of KKAM 1350, then owned by Garvey Communications Systems and affiliated with ABC and the Intermountain network.
Beck's Pueblo Chieftain obituary said his professional career included 38 years in broadcasting. After radio, he spent another 15 years in industrial-product sales with W.W. Grainger.
Beck died September 23, 2013, at Cheyenne Mountain Care Center in Colorado Springs. He was 87.
