Carly Evans is a radio programmer who moved to Colorado Springs in 2018 and ended up running the show at alternative X103.9 KRXP. If you listened to X103.9 in the early 2020s, you were hearing her programming.
Career
She has more than 20 years in broadcasting, 13 of them as a program director at KKQY in Hayes, Kansas, KXBZ in Manhattan, Kansas and KORA in Bryan, Texas. After the move to Colorado she programmed country station KQSC in Colorado Springs, then joined the KRXP team part-time in 2022.
In May 2023 she was elevated to program director and afternoon talent at KRXP, replacing Shawn Lucero, who had left for Colorado Public Radio. Operations manager Ross Ford said, “We had some really great candidates, but Carly was just so well rounded.” She left KRXP in July 2025 after a little over two years, and Ford took over programming duties.
Where is Carly Evans now?
We don’t yet know where she landed after KRXP. If you do, we’d love to hear from you.
