Captain Lee was the on-air name used by Lee Topping in Denver country radio.
92.5 The Wolf
Archived pages from KWOF-FM/92.5 The Wolf document Capt. Lee as the weekday afternoon personality from 2–7 p.m. in 2014 and 2015. His station page was titled “The Captain’s Log” and listed the contact address captlee@925thewolf.com and the social handle @CaptLee925.
An entry list for the Colorado Region SCCA HyPR Hot Regionals, held Aug. 22–23, 2015, lists Lee Topping with 92.5 The Wolf as sponsor. Together with the archived on-air material and the later @captleecolorado profile describing its owner as a radio professional and vintage race-car driver, this supports the identification of Captain Lee as Lee Topping.
Further research
A previous affiliation with another Denver station has been reported, but the Colorado Radio Archive has not yet found a reliable contemporary source naming that station. No additional station relationship has been assigned pending documentation.
