Jim Arthur is a longtime Colorado Springs news and sports broadcaster whose career has been closely tied to KVOR.
Arthur is a Colorado native who worked in Trinidad and Cañon City before joining KVOR in 1989 as a sports reporter. He became lead anchor of Colorado Springs Morning News in 1995 and has remained a central local voice on the station for decades.
Arthur has also had a long association with Air Force athletics. He has called Air Force basketball since 1996 and football since 2002 and has received multiple Colorado Broadcasters Association awards for sportscasting.
KVOR’s current station information lists Arthur as news director in addition to his morning-anchor duties.

Jim Arthur joined KVOR in Colorado Springs in 1989 as a sports reporter after working in Trinidad and Canon City.
Pourtales cluster operates from 2864 S. Circle Drive
By 1996 — The Pourtales Colorado Springs group was operating from 2864 S. Circle Drive, Suite 150. The 1996 RBR Source Guide places KVOR, KSPZ, KVUU and KTWK together at the facility, with Donn Seidholz as KVOR general manager, Kent Hildebrand as GSM, Jim Arthur as KVOR program director and Gary Meininger as chief engineer; Randy Hill programmed KSPZ, while John Savidge was KVUU GSM and Lee Olson its program director.
