KAAT was a Denver AM station that operated from 1972 to 1979. The station was known as a 50,000-watt daytime signal. Peter Boyles recalled beginning his disc-jockey work at KAAT after program director Jack Merker invited him to do weekends.
Programming and personnel
KAAT provided a Denver broadcast home for local personalities and was among the area stations where Boyles developed from traffic reporting into on-air DJ work. The present archive treats KAAT as a distinct historical call-sign record; later call signs and facility lineage require additional verification before they are merged here.
