KIMN-FM

KIMN (100.3 FM), branded “Mix 100,” is a commercial hot adult contemporary radio station licensed to Denver, Colorado. It serves the Denver metropolitan area and is owned by KSE Radio Ventures, a division of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. The station broadcasts at an effective radiated power of 98,600 watts (100,000 watts with beam tilt) from Mount Morrison. Its current website is mix100.com.

History
The 100.3 FM facility signed on July 9, 1959, as KLIR-FM, the FM counterpart to KLIR 990 AM. It initially simulcast the AM station before moving to beautiful music and middle-of-the-road programming. In 1984, it became KMJI and adopted the “Majic 100” identity. After using KXLT (“K-Lite 100”) from 1989 to 1992, it returned to the KMJI calls and Majic branding.

The station adopted the KIMN calls in April 1995, borrowing a name long associated with Denver’s former 950 AM Top 40 station. It moved through 1970s hits and adult contemporary formats before adopting the “Mix 100” brand and hot adult contemporary format in 1999. In 2014, KIMN briefly shifted toward adult Top 40, then returned to hot adult contemporary in 2016.
