Ann Marie Awad is described on an author page as a Denver-based audio journalist who created and hosts the podcast On Something, which looks at life in Colorado after cannabis legalization. If you listened to On Something when it ran on Colorado Public Radio, you know the voice.

On Something

The Colorado Broadcasters Association (CBA) credits Ann Marie on the podcast in 2019 (as CPR’s On Something, with Brad Turner and Curtis Fox) and again in 2020 for an episode titled Cannabis on the Menu (with Rebekah Romberg and Dennis Funk). Both credits list KCFR, Colorado Public Radio’s flagship.

Freelance audio work

An author page that carries Ann Marie’s biography describes a freelance audio journalist who is editorial director of the Institute for Independent Journalists, was a 2022 reporting fellow with the UC Center for the Science of Psychedelics, and has produced, edited or consulted on podcast projects for WAMU, SONOS and the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. The same page says the broadcast work has aired on NPR’s All Things Considered, WBUR’s Here and Now and public radio stations in Colorado, Philadelphia and Louisiana.
