Catherine Swendsen was part of the programming staff at KILO in Colorado Springs.
A contemporary Hard Report item dated July 31, 1992, reported that Swendsen had been at KILO for three years when she was named music director. The trade report said she replaced Steve Fratt, who had just left the station, and quoted program director Rich Hawk praising her work. This places Swendsen in a key music-programming role at the Colorado Springs rock station by 1992.
