FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE DIAL

Tell us your Colorado radio story

Whether you were the one turning the dial or the one behind the microphone, your story belongs here. Listeners, this is your place to talk about the stations and voices that rode along with you. If you worked in Colorado radio, you saw it from the inside, and nobody else can tell it the way you can.

Write it out, or just hit record and tell it the way you’d tell a friend. A few sentences is plenty. Recordings can be a voice memo from your phone.

If you listened

  • The station you grew up with, and where you listened (the car, the bedroom, the job site)
  • The first time you called in to win something
  • A DJ who made your commute bearable, or one you wish you’d met
  • The night a favorite station changed formats or went dark

If you worked in radio

  • How you got your start, and who gave you your first break
  • Life behind the board: the studio, the people, the early mornings
  • A remote broadcast, a ratings book, a blizzard or a prank you’ll never forget
  • What the station was really like when the mic was off
A few sentences is plenty. Longer is welcome too.
OR
A phone voice memo works great (mp3, m4a, wav, ogg or aac, up to about 512 MB). You can also do both: type it and attach the recording.
Separate with commas.
Private. We only use it if we have a question.
