Chuck Squire was an on-air personality and producer whose Colorado radio work included KKMG-FM, KVUU-FM and KKFM-FM. His career connected Southern Colorado’s late-1980s contemporary-hit era with the later classic-rock cluster operated by Citadel and Cumulus.
Colorado and Milwaukee
A 1988 trade report announced Squire as the new afternoon personality at WLTQ in Milwaukee and identified him as arriving from KKMG in Pueblo. The notice establishes his work at Magic FM during the period when the station was expanding its reach from Pueblo toward Colorado Springs.
Return to Colorado Springs
Squire later worked at KVUU and returned to the Citadel Colorado Springs group. By 2011 he was producing KKFM’s classic-rock morning show. Industry reporting on the Cumulus restructuring that year identified Squire among the Colorado Springs staff members released after Cumulus acquired Citadel.
