Dick Norton was a Colorado Springs radio news director associated with KSSS 740.
Newsroom role
The 1980 Broadcasting Yearbook identified Norton as KSSS news director. The listing placed him alongside program director Bob May and sales manager Herb James during the station’s country-format era.
The directory confirms Norton’s position in 1980 but does not establish his complete tenure. Former KSSS morning host Tony Lynn also recalls Norton as hismorning-show newsman during Lynn’s 1984–1990 tenure, extending Norton’s documented association with the station into the mid-1980s.
