Work in Colorado
George McFly joined KVUU-FM 99.9 “My 99.9” in Colorado Springs for afternoon drive in March 2006. A contemporary Main Street Tattler report says Clear Channel hired McFly to replace Willie and JoJo, who moved to sister country station KCCY.
McFly remained with KVUU for about two years. Radio & Records reported in May 2008 that he transferred to KPTT in Denver; McFly later told Westword that his Colorado Springs tenure lasted two years.
