COLORADO RADIO PERSONALITY

Howie Drummond

Howie Drummond is a Denver radio personality and food broadcaster best known in Colorado for his work on KALC-FM, Alice 105.9.

Colorado radio career

Drummond became part of Alice 105.9’s morning lineup and later co-hosted mornings with B.J. Harris and Jamie White. Trade coverage documented his departure from the Entercom Hot AC station in October 2012, when the program was known as BJ, Howie & Jamie.

Food and television work

Before radio, Drummond spent seven years in the restaurant business while pursuing an ambition to become a chef. According to Food Network, winning a radio contest redirected his career into broadcasting without ending his interest in food. He subsequently hosted a Denver television cooking show for three years.

Drummond also appeared as a contestant on Food Network Star and hosted the Denver-based cooking competition Grill vs. Grill for two seasons on Altitude. His work connected two sides of his public career: live radio and Colorado food television.
