James Brown is a longtime Colorado Springs broadcaster whose career crossed both radio and television.
Radio career
Before becoming widely known to Southern Colorado television viewers, Brown worked in radio at KSPZ-FM / Z93. His KSPZ work places him in the same Colorado Springs 92.9 FM lineage that later became KKPK.
Television and traffic
Colorado State University Pueblo alumni material identifies Brown as a traffic reporter and weather forecaster for KKTV 11 News in Colorado Springs. Contemporary reporting documents him as part of KKTV’s morning team and as the station’s traffic reporter.
Brown also continued radio-related traffic work with iHeartMedia and operated James Brown DJ Service / JB DJ Services, extending his broadcasting skills into event entertainment and emcee work.
Where are they now?
As of October 2026, Brown continues to be identified professionally with Southern Colorado traffic, weather and media work.
