COLORADO RADIO PERSONALITY

JoJo (KKMG)

JoJo Turnbeaugh is a Colorado radio personality and programming executive whose career has included major roles in Colorado Springs, Denver, Las Vegas and the broader iHeartMedia organization.

A Colorado native, Turnbeaugh built an early chapter of his career in Colorado Springs. He served as program director and morning personality at KCCY and also worked on-air at KKMG, where a 2003 FMQB profile of program director Chad Rufer identified JoJo as the station’s night personality. Those assignments gave Turnbeaugh experience in both country and contemporary-hit radio before his career expanded into larger programming roles.

Turnbeaugh later worked in Denver as a morning personality at KYGO and as assistant program director at sports station KKFN. In 2008, the Kelly, Mudflap & JoJo morning show on KYGO received the NAB Marconi Award for Large Market Personality of the Year.

His management career subsequently took him to Las Vegas and the Nevada/Central California region for iHeartMedia. In 2017, iHeartMedia brought Turnbeaugh back to Colorado as Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for Denver, giving him oversight of on-air content and music programming across a large group of station brands. He also returned to regular on-air work, co-hosting KOA’s afternoon Big Al & JoJo sports program beginning in 2019.

As a senior programming executive, Turnbeaugh has been involved in major Denver format and lineup decisions, including the launch of Orange and Blue Radio, programming changes at KOA and oversight of iHeart’s Front Range brands.

Where Are They Now?

As of October 2026: Turnbeaugh remains Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Rockies Region. Current 2026 Denver radio reporting continues to identify him in that role, overseeing programming across iHeart’s Colorado operations.
