Justin Sasso is a Colorado broadcaster and industry advocate who has served as president and chief executive officer of the Colorado Broadcasters Association since 2011.
Broadcasting career
Sasso entered radio unusually early, taking his first radio job at age ten. Over a 25-year operating career, he worked for multiple broadcast companies along Colorado’s Front Range and at one point owned and operated a radio station in Northern Colorado.
Before becoming the CBA’s chief executive, Sasso served the association as secretary/treasurer, vice chair and chair of its board of directors. He comes from a broadcasting family: his mother worked in television and his father in radio.
Colorado Broadcasters Association
As president and CEO, Sasso represents Colorado radio and television stations on public-policy, emergency-information, workforce and industry issues. His work has included advocacy for continued AM reception in new vehicles, public access and broadcaster support, as well as oversight of the association’s annual Awards of Excellence and its Broadcast Hall of Fame program.
