David “Keefer” Fulgham is a radio personality, programmer and live-session producer whose Colorado career includes KBCO, Colorado Public Radio’s OpenAir and The Colorado Sound.
Early career
Fulgham spent eleven years at WYMG in Springfield, Illinois, then became program director and morning host at KBXR in Columbia, Missouri. KBCO had long been a dream destination, and he moved west to join the Boulder station.
KBCO and Studio C
Keefer worked at KBCO for more than a decade as music director, afternoon-drive host and producer of artist sessions in the station’s Studio C. After a layoff, he continued his Colorado music-radio work as a host and production specialist for Colorado Public Radio’s OpenAir and later joined the launch-era staff of KJAC-FM, The Colorado Sound.
In March 2017 he returned to KBCO for afternoon drive. His on-air identity combines a deep knowledge of album-oriented music with experience producing intimate live performances by touring and Colorado artists.
