Lew Farris was an announcer on KFUM-AM. A reader tells us he was billed as the “Eiffel Tower of Radio: Six Foot Eight Inches of Song,” and that an old advertising pamphlet with a sketch of him in front of the Eiffel Tower calls the station “The Voice of the Rockies.”
We haven’t seen that pamphlet yet, so treat these details as a reader’s recollection for now. If you have a scan, a photo or a memory of Lew Farris on the air, we’d love to hear it. Use the Submit button on the front page of the archive to send it in.
