COLORADO RADIO PERSONALITY

Michael “Shark” Sharkey

Michael “Shark” Sharkey is a radio personality, programmer and talent coach whose Colorado work included afternoons at KRFX-FM, 103.5 The Fox.

Denver radio

Known on the air as Shark, Sharkey hosted a regular program on The Fox during the station’s classic-rock era. His Denver work included artist interviews, station events and public appearances; surviving coverage documents interviews with artists such as Stevie Nicks and Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton.

Programming and coaching

Sharkey later worked as a radio programmer and developed a coaching practice for radio hosts and podcasters. He created The Talent Show, a program focused on interviewing successful audio hosts and teaching presentation and audience-engagement skills.

Return to radio

In 2024 Sharkey returned to live radio on WHPT-FM, 102.5 The Bone, in Tampa Bay. He co-hosts the interactive men’s talk program Let’s Get Real with Anthony “Spanish” Polichemi; the show remained in production in 2026.
