Rick Lewis is a Denver radio personality and sports broadcaster whose work spans classic-rock morning radio, talk and Denver Broncos game coverage.
Lewis & Floorwax
Lewis and Michael “Floorwax” Steinke launched Lewis & Floorwax on KRFX-FM, 103.5 The Fox, in July 1990. The locally focused comedy program quickly became one of Denver radio’s biggest morning shows and remained a fixture for nearly a quarter-century. Lewis also played drums in the pair’s blues-rock side project, the Groove Hawgs.
When Floorwax left the show for health reasons in 2014, Lewis continued mornings on The Fox, with Kathy Lee becoming a key co-host.
KOA and the Denver Broncos
In 2016 Lewis added an afternoon show on KOA-AM with longtime Broncos voice Dave Logan while continuing his early-morning work at KRFX. The following year he joined Logan in the Denver Broncos radio booth as color analyst. Logan & Lewis later moved to late mornings before KOA ended Lewis’s daily double-duty schedule, while he continued on The Fox and with Broncos broadcasts.
