Rip Avina

Rip Avina was a longtime Pueblo radio programmer and on-air personality best known for his work at KDZA.

Contemporary trade material documents Avina at KDZA from at least the late 1970s through the 1980s. A 1979 industry photograph identifies him as the station music director, while later reporting identifies him as program director and 9 a.m.–noon personality and describes him as a 15-year KDZA veteran. A 1983 Radio & Records classified listing also directed announcer applications to Avina at KDZA.
