History

The station launched in 2007. A Christian broadcaster bought it in March 2008 and started a contemporary Christian format. The call sign became KVTT on October 1, 2009 and KJSA on October 14, 2009, and the station went silent in October 2009.

Educational Media Foundation agreed to buy it on February 4, 2010. The sale closed April 8, 2010, and the call letters returned to KAAI on April 14, 2010, as an Air 1 station.
