KGUD (90.7 FM) in Longmont plays adult standards, but it started out as a school-run training station. If you went through St. Vrain Valley schools in the late 70s or 80s, this might be the station your classmates were learning radio on.
History
The station began operating in September 1975 as KCDC, licensed to the St. Vrain Valley School District for the Career Development Center’s student training. In March 2003, the district agreed to transfer the license to Longmont Community Radio, and the call sign changed to KGUD on March 15, 2004.
