KTRR (102.5 FM), branded Retro 102.5, is a commercial classic-hits radio station licensed to Loveland, Colorado, and serving the Fort Collins–Greeley region. Townsquare Media operates the station as part of its Northern Colorado radio group.
History
KTRR began broadcasting on February 2, 1966, as KLOV-FM, the FM counterpart of KLOV-AM (now KXJJ). The station initially simulcast its AM sister station before adopting automated easy-listening programming. In the 1980s it shifted toward easy listening and soft adult contemporary music. The call sign became KTRR in 1988.
For much of the following decades the station remained in the adult-contemporary family. Its “TRI 102.5” identity included mainstream and, briefly, hot adult contemporary programming. In 2015 it moved toward a more current-based sound. On September 9, 2016, the station changed to classic hits, drawing largely on music from the 1970s through the 1990s. It adopted the “Retro 102.5” name on March 22, 2019. KTRR also broadcasts in HD Radio.
