KZET-FM

KZET is a noncommercial FM station licensed to Towaoc, Colorado, broadcasting on 90.5 MHz. The station is operated by Community Radio Project, Inc., and relays KSJD Dryland Community Radio’s public-service programming to the Four Corners area. It broadcasts from Hermano Peak on Ute Mountain.

History

Community Radio Project acquired the KZET license in 2011. The station went on the air in 2012 from Hermano Peak, in partnership with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. In 2016, KZET also developed a satellite studio with the Tribe’s Media Department in Towaoc, extending local production capacity within the community.

Programming and service

KZET carries KSJD’s programming, including local reporting and music, and extends the station’s broadcast coverage across the Four Corners. KSJD lists 90.5 FM as its broad regional signal, alongside its Cortez, Mancos Valley, and Rico frequencies.
