Bob Ihle is a Colorado Springs radio personality and programmer who also became known on the air as Cutter.
Trade coverage documents Ihle moving from KRQU in Laramie to KILO in Colorado Springs for overnights in 1988. By May 1989, The Gavin Report reported that “Bob Ihle (pronounced ‘Ely’)” had been promoted to music director at KILO. FMQB listings later that year continued to identify Bob Ihle as KILO’s music director, and contemporary KILO material also places him alongside the station’s staff and promotions.
Later in his Southern Colorado career, Ihle used the on-air name Cutter at KATC-FM. Colorado Broadcasters Association records identify Bob “Cutter” Ihle as part of KATC’s Cutter & Alisha morning show, while contemporary Gazette coverage also identifies Cutter as Bob Ihle. He additionally worked in Air Force football broadcasting; Air Force Athletics game materials list Bob Ihle on pre- and post-game coverage during the early 2010s.
